Why your brand system needs to be a product
Identity work that lives in code, scales with your team and never gathers dust in a PDF.

Most brand guidelines are opened twice: at the launch party and when someone needs the logo file. Six months later the brand on the website, the app and the sales deck are three different brands.
Treat it like software
A brand system has users (your team), releases (new campaigns) and bugs (that one slide with the stretched logo). Give it an owner, a changelog and a place in your product's codebase.
Tokens, not PDFs
Colour, type, spacing and motion should exist as design tokens that designers and engineers share. When the brand blue changes, it changes everywhere in one commit.
Measure it
We track how often teams reach for the system versus going off-piste. When people go around it, the system is missing something, and that is the next release.
