Lotus, rain and the backwaters

Isha and Dev chose the monsoon on purpose. A houseboat procession, lotus ponds and a mandap with a roof of jasmine.

Most couples run from the rain. Isha and Dev planned for it.

The plan

Every function had a covered twin. Guests travelled between venues by houseboat, with towels and ginger tea on board.

The décor

Jasmine, lotus and banana leaf, with brass lamps and an ivory canopy that turned silver in the rain.

The day

It rained for the pheras, softly. Nobody minded.
